NEW MOONLIGHT DSP

I am so glad that Stampin' UP! continues to provide us with DSP Paper Stacks.  I think they are a great way for card makers and even Scrapbookers to have some DSP if they don't want to purchase our 12 by 12 sets.  This card uses four different patterns from the Moonlght Paper Pack shown in our catalog page 185.  Jeanne Defibaugh made this card using several of the new IN-Colors for 2014-2016.  Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Lost Lagoon.  Jeanne even colored the Rhinestone with one of the new Blendabilities.

Perfect Pennants in Living Color

Have you tried our Fringe Scissors yet?  I cased this card from Connie Babbert as soon as I saw it.  I was anxious to us our Fringe Scissors.  I used the Stamp Set, Perfect Pennants
, by coloring in the words using our Markers.  The Polka Dot Embossing Folder and Chevron Ribbon were also used on this bright and happy card.

REMEMBER THESE GUYS

Jeanne Defibaugh, a member of my team, cased a couple really cute cards from Pinerest.  Above you may remember these guys who I understand from my Grandsons are still very popular just as they were back in the 80's when my son Kyle was a little guy.    Can you name the four?

Below is a card that goes back to the 70's I think.  PacMan was one of the first electronic games.  Such cute cards.  Both are made with our punches.  Can you find the owl punch?

Thanks Jeanne for two adorable cards.

LOVE Birds

Today I am sharing another card by a loyal customer, Cindy Powell.  This is a sweet Anniversary card Cindy made using our Bird Builder Punch and Petite Petals Stamp Set.  Cindy has made nice use of the punches by having the birds little wings match the DSP paper.  Note the retired DSP paper Cindy used has little blue birds in it as well.  Very sweet.

The Old Oak Tree

While this Stamp Set, Look Up to Father, has been retired from the Celebrate the Everyday catalog I decided to share this card today since I also used the Hardwood background stamp.  I love the wood grain in the Hardwood Stamp and have used it for many cards.

The technique used for the Oak Tree background is inking the acrylic block with ink and then stamping the very vanilla card stock.  Each background comes out different.

Hockey and Simply Sports

This card is for our Grandson who lived in Michigan before his family moved to Thailand three years ago.  Camden loves the Red Wings so I wanted the card to be Red and White.  I threw in a little blue since he goes to an International School and is an American Boy.  :-)

The new Stamp Set, Simply Sports, is a sport's loves dream.  Every sport you can think of.  I am to glad to have it has we have lots of sports lovers in our families.  I used the Stars Framelits which are new for 2014 as well.  The card uses Real Red, Night of Navy, and Whisper White.  Ink is Real Red.  The only thing that is retired is the Large Rhinestones which I did not actually put on Camden's card because it is going email and I didn't want to prevent it from going International.

Hope you like my creation.  I case many but not often I come up with an original, even if it is a simple card.

Father's Day Card

This is a cute Father's Day card by a downline member, Jeanne Defibaugh.  Jeanne used the Moonlight Paper Pack DSP to make the shirt and then also used the Envelop Board to create the Night of Navy Tie.  Isn't this really cute and stylish.

Happy Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and I wanted to share a picture of my dear husband, Michael F. Short, who is one of the most caring and loving Dad's to his children and now even to my children.  He is a great example of what a Father should be and I wanted to honor him today on my blog.
The above picture of me is at the gravestone of my father, Samuel E. England, Jr.,  who passed in 2009 and was a World War II Veteran.

Below is my son-in-law Todd Sheppard, a wonderful Father and God loving man who has done such good work with his two boys Samuel and JX.  Here is his with my daughter, Tori and good friend, Mitchell.

Below is John Bolen, my husband's son-in-law who is a good Dad to his little girl, Abigail.

Below is a very dear friend, Scott Steele, from Springfield, VA.  A good man and the best father any little girl could ever have.  Just ask Ava.

To every good and decent man out there who happens to have the most important job in the world, being a DAD.

Brayer and Embossed Sympathy Card

I have been blessed with some of the nicest customers who have been very loyal to me.  Today I would like to share a soft and loving sympathy card made by one of them.  Cindy Powell  lives in Bedford with her husband Dick.  We are in the same Sunday School Class and I have so enjoyed getting to know Cindy, her husband and her 89 year old Mom as well.

Cindy uses the Envelop Board often to make her envies match her card.  This is a nice example.

I believe Cindy's inside of her card is simple, elegant and peaceful.   I know Cindy enjoys the color lavender and I think she did a lovely job using it in this card.  Leave a comment for Cindy, I know she will appreciate it.
