SPECIAL GIFT FOR MY PAPER CRAFTING ROOM

If any of you have received an email from you, then you know I have a special message under my name and the fact that I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  It says of course "In God We Trust" but it also says "Worked with paper will employed and Plays with Paper while retired."

My daughter, Tori Sheppard, made me a special Christmas Present this year.  Not only is Tori creative (see post dated February 3 where she had the boys make cards with their thumbs) but she is thrifty as well.  Here she took an old piece of a pylon board and painted it and then put one of my favorite sayings on it.  Note the "with" is actually made into tools.  So clever that girl!  Yes I am a proud Mom.  I love my sign cause it was made from the heart.  Needless to say it will hang in my crafting room for as long as I am able to paper craft.  :-)

Let me know what you think of my daughter's handy work.  Leave a comment please.

VALENTINES and Hedge Hogs

The cards I am sharing today were done by one of my Card Club members, Sally Van Why of Bedford, Pennsylvania.  Sally started making cards with me because her friend, Linda, sent her a homemade card from one of my classes.  Sally picked up the phone and told Linda, "I don't know where you made the card you sent me but I want to go there too."  That was over a year ago and Sally has been happy doing paper crafting every since.  I love this story cause it shows that women who love crafts are drawn to each other.  I like to think we are a special breed.  lol  We are!!

Sally has used the new Best of Snow with the little Hedge Hogs and the Flowerfull stamp but then she has combined those stamps with retired stamps she purchased from me.  I love when my ladies come up with clever and thrifty ideas. Looks like Sally used Real Red and Pool Party.  Some DSP from Christmas Lodge which was a big hit last year.  I'll bet she won that as a door prize at one of my events.

I hate to part with my retired stamps but as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I can only hold so many stamp sets in my three closets that are in my "Play with Paper Room." (more to be shared about that later).

Leave a comment to let Sally know what you think of her creations.

Scrapbookers At Work

Today we  have more the gals from New Enterprise.  The ladies, Jeffie, Marilyn and Elisabeth are busy doing their Dazzling Diamonds to make the snowflakes on their Scrapbook Pages dance right off the pages.   They are using Tombow Two Way Glue and Stampin' Up Dazzling Diamonds.
Hopefully there will be more on their pages than on my black rug below.  LOL

Christy and Annette are usually found working together on their pages.  This night Annette is doing two sets of pages.  One set for her and one for her sister Angie who was unable to attend.  A mighty feat for sure.

Christy continues to finish her 4 pages.  They girls said they are tired of snow so I have to step it up for February and leave the snow behind.  Hopefully we will do that weather wise too.  Leave all the snow in January.  Wishful thinking.

Coffee Please

What smells better than coffee?  Jeanne Defibaugh from New Enterprise, PA nothing does.  So Jeanne made this adorable card after searching the internet for a good CASE.  Here is what Jeanne came up with.  Using the stamp set from Stampin' Up! called  Perfect Blend.  Jeanne ground coffee beans and adhered them to make the circle behind the cup.  Hence the delicious smell.  Three little bean also embellish the front.  Good Work Jeanne!!

Note the stirrer on the cup.  Cute, cute, cute!  (Jeanne where did that stirrer come from?LOL)
Leave Jeanne a comment.  She will love it.

My Clever Scapbook Club Members

The pages I have posted today are by Sally Van Why who lives in Bedford, Pa.  Sally is a retired Teacher and is used to making use of the items she has to make bulletin boards and other items for the children.  Sally has converted her thrifty ways into using left over negative pieces and other scraps into her scrapbook pages.  The out come is lovely.  Here Sally has used the negative of dies we used to make leaves and re-purposed them in a very clever way.

Sally is making a Scrapbook of her home and favorite things in it during the four seasons.  Another clever idea from Sally.  On this page we had some background paper leftover and again leaf negatives.  Very pretty Sally, we applaud you and your creative ideas.

If you would like to leave a comment about Sally's ideas and pages please do so.  She and I will appreciate it.
