Picture Perfect and More

Good Day,
Once again Cindy Powell has made a very pretty card.  Cindy shows us how we can use many of our tools to complete a pretty card.  Cindy has used Oval Punches, the Perfect Picture stamp set which includes the Humming Bird.  She also used a retired Embossing Folder.  The grass is made with our Fringe Scissors and also ran the Detailed Floral and Flourish Thinits with the Big Shot. Then she embellished with a few white pearls.

I think Cindy gets the prize for using the most tools on a single card.  Way to go Cindy.

My Flowers

Well September is in upon us so my flowers are getting ready to go.  My Grandma, Mom and even my daughter all love our flowers and plants.

This year I planted a variety of colors which remind me of some of our Stampin' Up! Card Stock.

Even though FALL is my favorite time of year, I am going to miss my flowers when they are gone.  The good news is, I will have all my card stock to keep me "in the color" till spring is back again next year.

Need some pretty colorful Card Stock?  Please think of ordering from me.

Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper

This is busy Designer Series Paper but is so pretty.  I cased this card and like the way the flower and Whisper White calm down the DSP.  The DSP has such pretty colors in it.

Curtain or Drapery Fold Cards

Today I am posting two cards I did using the curtain or drapery fold technique.  Many demos have been using this technique and so I wanted to give it a go.  A couple of my customers had already tried this but each one is always a little different.  Cut your DSP at 11 1/2 by 4.  Score at 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10 then measure down on the 10" side 1and1/2 ".  Cut from the scored 3 inch line up to the marked 1 1/2" line.  You will not use the triangle piece of DSP you just cut off for this card.

  • DSP is on page 172 "Affectionately Yours"
  • Card Stock on the above card is Night of Navy, Watermelon and Mint Macaron
  • Ink is Watermelon Wonder
  • Ribbon is the new 5/8 inch Watermelon stripped
  • The flower is from the Beautiful Bunch (retired) however any flower will do.
  • The punch coordinates with the Beautiful Bunch Stamp Set and is also used for the leaves
  • A large Rhinestone (also retired) sets off the flower.

  • Card Stock is Daffodil Delight and Crushed Cucumber for the leaves
  • The rest of the recipe is the same as above.

Wild About Flowers

My customers really helped me attain a new level during Sale-A-Brations this year.  I decided to offer a Free Stamp Class for each of my buying ladies.  We used the Stamp Set Wild About Flowers which is in the new 2016-17 Catalog on page 112.

We used the out going In Colors and Ribbon with the Wild About Flowers set.  Because I did not have the Lost Lagoon Ribbon we used the Washi tape for that card.

We stamped the flower to match the front on the inside of the card.  My customers like to have the inside without sentiment so they can write their own notes.

Have you given or gone to free classes?

Red and White with a Little Green

This pretty fresh looking card was cased by Jeanne Defibaugh.  I like the way Jeanne rounded the corners on this card.  Notice the lattice work on the card too.  So pretty.

You Can Do It Card

Hi Ladies,

Keep on Stampin',
The card above was made by Linda Imler another demo.  She used the flowery designer series paper.  Note that her flower is actually three deep which gives a nice accent piece to the card.
