Christmas Scrap Book Pages

I started my first Scrap Book Club last month and our first  four pages were of Christmas.  Here is two from our March Club pages.

Butterfly Prints

The DSP is the Host Cheerful Treat paper.  Again I get to use the stamp set that has a punch set that goes with it.  The Butterfly Prints Stamp Set and the Butterfly Punch.  No cutting here!!  Card Stock is Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White.  A little Concord Poly Ribbon.  Cased from Kathy Schweinfurth.  Added my own pearls to set the butterflies off.

Clarifications on the Retirement Lists

Good morning! Its been a couple days since the Stampin’ Up! retiring accessory list was released and I’ve been seeing lots of confusion and misinformation out there and so I wanted to take a minute to try to clear some things up for you.  Several items have already sold out.
1. The colors aren’t changing! You may have noticed that all of the classic ink pads are on the retirement list. This is because Stampin’ Up! is changing the physical pad to use a new “firm foam” pad to allow for better inking of your stamps. They are also updating some of the printing on the pad cases and including labels for the ends of your ink pads so you can easily see what color you are grabbing. So, the current pads are retiring but the ink will still be there in June, with the exception of the 2010-2012 In Colors.
2. Use your current ink refills! With the ink pad changes, some folks are wondering about ink refills. With the exception of 5 colors that had to be reformulated for the new pads (Basic Black, Basic Grey, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum, and Tempting Turquoise), current ink refills will work with the new pads. Similarly, the ink refills that will be sold in June will work with the current pads. Its just those 5 colors that you need to use old refills with old pads and new refills with new pads.
3. Yes, Craft ink is going away! With the exception of Basic Black and Whisper White, all of the craft ink pads and refills will be retiring. The ink refills are selling out quickly, so if this is something you are interested, I would grab yours right away.
4. Textured cardstock is discountinued. It is true that the 12×12 textured cardstock collections are all being retired and will only be available in smooth cardstock in the future.
5. 12×12 cardstock is mostly moving collection packs only. 25 of the 40 individual packs of 12×12 smooth cardstock is retiring and will only be available in family collection packs. (So you can still get it, just not in single color packs.)
6. Markers are mostly moving to collection packs only. Like the 12×12 cardstock, most of the Stampin’ Write markers are changing to be sold in family collections and the large Many Marvelous Markers pack. All of the colors will be available, but most won’t be available individually.
7. Anything you see on the retiring accessory list with an asterisk ‘*’ means it will be available in some form in the new catalog, just in a different form factor or tool/packaging collection. So, items like the paper piercing tool, scrub pad, etc aren’t going away for good but we aren’t sure what they will look like until we can see the new catalog.

Stampin' Up! Accessories Retired List Now Available

Get them before they are gone! The Retired Accessories and Definitely Decorative (including Décor Elements) lists are now available and won't stay around for long, as these are limited in quantity and can sell out fast. Some are even discounted from 25% up to 70% off - WOW!

I highly recommend placing your orders early as things will sell out. If you have not yet completed your collection of the 2010-2012 In Color ink pads, card stock, markers, refills, ribbon, you'll want to get them asap!

Things to note:

• Classic Ink Pads: will be replaced with a new exciting "firm foam pad" being introduced with the 2012-2013 annual catalog. The Firm Foam pads offer better ink coverage and, in trun, better stamped images.
• Craft Ink Pads: will no longer be offered, except in black and white
• Stampin' Stampin' Write Markers: only select markers will be available individually (will still be offered in color collection assortment packs)
• 12" x 12" Textured Card Stock: will no longer be offered
• 12" x 12" Smooth Card Stock: will only be available in select individual colors and color collections assortment packs

Vintage Vogue

Finishing up the year using some of the IN COLORS that will be going away soon, Blushing Bride and Concord Crush.  The Whisper White Card Stock is run through the BIG SHOT using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  The verse is from Occasional Quotes.  This card is cased from Beverly Messerschmidt.

Language of Friendship

Today I am sharing the card made with the stamp set LANGUAGE OF FRIENDSHIP and Stampin' Up Bird Punch.  I love it when Stampin' Up comes up with Stamp Sets and Punches that we can use together.  Yes, I am lazy.  I don't like to cut something out if I can punch it out!!  I used the Polka Dot Embossing Folder with the Pacific Point Card Stock.  I also used the BoHo Punch to punch out the flowers.  The bird is colored with the Stampin' Up Water Colored Pencils and then the Blender Pen blends the penciling together.

Rich Razzelberry Mixed Bunch

JUST FOR YOU card uses both the Oval All and Mixed Bunch stamp sets.  I embossed the blossom with White Craft Ink and  Embossing Powder.  Old Olive ink and the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder in the BIG SHOT was also used.  The oval behind "Just For You" and the center of the blossom was run through the BIG SHOT using the Squared Lattice Embossing Folder and then punched out.

2012 RETIRED STAMP SET LIST

The Retired listing of Stampin' Up Stamp Sets is now published.  Many of our favorite stamp sets are retiring to make room for brand new sets.  We are able to continue to order these retired sets through May 31  The retired sets will be available as long as current supplies last.  Contact me to place your order.  If you like provide second choices in case your first choice is already gone.  I will be happy to help you in any way I can.

RETIRED LIST OF STAMP SETS

Hi Everyone,

I am sitting here looking at all my Stamp Sets and wondering which ones of my favorites will be retiring with the new catalog coming out.  It's always sad to say good-bye to some favorites but then the excitement starts to grow as I think about the brand NEW stamp sets I'll have an opportunity to get.

I do love new stamp sets and all the new ideas that come with them.  Tomorrow April 15 is the day the Retired List will be posted.  Remember you will have an opportunity to purchase those retired sets, so stay posted for upcoming dates.

TEA Shoppe

My Clubs are making this TEA SHOPPE stamp set card this month.  The card includes DSP and Card Stock Night of Navy, Whisper White and Bashful Blue.  I stamped the center card stock with the small blossom and then used the Pastels to color in the blossoms before I ran it through the BIG SHOT with the Lattice Squared Embossing Folder.  There are three small pearls on the cup and one medium pearl at the bottom of the cup.  Night of Navy binding is at the base of the center piece  Night of Navy ink is the only ink used on the card.  Cuounting the card there are seven layers to this card.

Retired Seashore Set

This is a retired stamp set that I still enjoy using especially when summer and the beach is right around the corner.  The ink and binding used is crumb cake.  The cardstock is Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz.  A simple soothing.

FOR YOU

To start April off I choose a pastel card to share. 
Here I used Marina Mist and Whisper White Card Stock and Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, and Pear Pizzazz Markers to color in the tag which is attached to the Pink Pirouette DSP and Binding (Pretty in Pink which is a shade darker but looks great).  I used the Border Pinking Hearts Punch and the Decorative Label to punch out my tag.
Stamp Sets used:  Four Square and Fancy Flexible Retired for the "For You"
The Butterflies are in Marina Mist DSP and run through the BIG Shot using the Beautiful Butterflies Embosslit.  I also used the Vintage Wall Paper Embossing Folder for the Whisper White background.
